Asian Majors

Panel 1

[Image] Two men facing each other. One is Asian, and one is Caucasian. The Asian man is smiling, and the Caucasian man looks confused.

[Caption] Every time I explain what I’m majoring in…

Asian Man: Oh, I’m majoring in philosophy.
Caucasian Man: Whaaaat! But YOU’RE ASIAN!

Panel 2

[Caption] The following are the two acceptable explanations for this common interaction

Panel 3

[Image] The Asian man with his hands out, jazz-hands style, smoke around him as if he just popped out. The Caucasian man with his hands up, looking startled.

[Caption] Either I suddenly become Asian right in front of his eyes

Asian Man: Ta daaaa!
Caucasian Man: How the??? WTF just happened?

Panel 4

[Image] The Asian man, with arms crossed, looking unamused. The Caucasian Man looking dumbfounded

[Caption] Or he really believes all 4.3 billion Asians are doctors, scientists or business people.

Asian Man: So you see, we’re not ALL doctors, etc.
Caucasian Man: WHOA….
Asian Man: Um, how exactly did you think Asian societies functioned?

Panel 5

[Caption] Do these options seem implausible? Because I always think that people who say these types of things are people who believe in stereotypes about Asians. Also known as racists. I once tried to point this out. But I was told quite emphatically that I was wrong. I was even told that I was the one being racist. Well, I certainly don’t want to be racist, so I guess these people are just dumbf**ks who believe all Asians are science and business majors. Either that or I have superpowers and can become Asian whenever I want.
